Based in Brooklyn, NY, The Defibulators released their debut album, Corn Money in 2009. The band has been on tour ever since, conquering both the East and West Coasts and everywhere in between multiple times. AMG describes the band as “Carter Family-meets-Ramones [with] an eclectic acoustic/electric sound all their own.” While New York media has attached endearing terms to the septet’s music like “citi-billy” (THE NEW YORKER), The Defibulators have defined their own sound, combining the timelessness of traditional music with the urgency of punk, earning the title of “one of the most engaging live acts in New York City” according to AM NEW YORK and was featured in VICE’s Top 10 “Best Unknown Brooklyn Bands” in 2012.
